 Barbie is the most popular fashion doll in the history of the world and has been since its introduction in 1959. I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel. Barbie and the Rockers was a doll line made in the mid-1980s by Mattel to compete with Hasbro's popular Jem doll line. They were on the market for roughly 3 years and there was a direct-to-video film made to go with the line titled Barbie and the Rockers: Out of This World. The line was brought back in late 2017 as a Target exclusive. The characters include Diva (a Scottish-Irish-American redhead), Dana (a Korean-American) and Dee-Dee (an African-American). 

This toy is part of my personal collection and has been archived by me, Joe Galliani, the creator of the Street Sharks, and President of Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions for over two decades in my home's attic.

The package is in excellent condition and shows no wear and there are no rips, tears, dents or blemishes. The package is still factory sealed. The Ken doll and silver fashions inside appear to be in visually perfect condition. Photos are of this specific toy for sale. Ken is so rad! A silver sensation!

Ken thought that he would just breeze right in and become the lead singer but Derick and Barbie have opinions. The Rockers will never be the same. Great doll. Exactly as pictured and described. Arrived in a timely manner.
